As the UK’s largest operator of sports-based rewards programmes, Rewards4 has kickstarted the year with the launch of Rewards4Rugby League.
Created specifically to help reward rugby league fans, the Rewards4Rugby League programme is one of the key benefits offered by the Rugby Football League’s (RFL) Our League membership programme which launched towards the end of last year.
Considered their own loyalty currency, fans can now collect valuable points on their everyday spending with over 4,500 Rewards4 partners. Points can be redeemed for highly sought after rugby league rewards, including tickets to the Betfred Super League Grand Final, the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final, the Dacia Magic Weekend or for the International Test Match Series between England and New Zealand in Autumn 2018.
Mark Foster, Super League General Manager, commented: “The Our League membership programme is one of our key focuses in 2018 and beyond, helping us to engage better with rugby league fans, players, coaches, match officials and volunteers and provide them with an enhanced, personalised experience of the sport.
“We already have an amazing array of exclusive content, competitions, opportunities and experiences to offer Our League members. Creating our own rewards programme and loyalty currency within the sport was an essential part of the offering, especially if we are to achieve our ambitious targets of 100,000 members by the end of 2018 and 500,000 by the end of 2021, the year in which England hosts the Rugby League World Cup.
“Partnering with Rewards4 was a no brainer as it enabled us to utilise their award-winning platform, which has operated so successfully in the Racing and Golf markets in the UK. The move into rugby league follows the success of the Rewards4Racing programme, where in 2017, the programme helped racegoers save money on over £6 million worth of ticket sales with the programme’s racecourse partners. The Rewards4Racing programme won the silver award for the Best Fan Engagement programme at the Sports Business Awards 2017.
