Saracens’ rugby fans get the first try with Rewards4’s fan engagement platform
New Rewards4Rugby programme launched to ignite fans’ sporting passions
Rewards4, the fast-growing technology company behind the innovative award-winning rewards platform for sports fans, has today announced the official launch of Rewards4Rugby with Saracens, the 2016 European and Aviva Premiership Champions, after a short pilot period. Saracens has always made fan engagement a priority and now the club has taken the next step by rewarding its supporters and helping them reduce the cost of supporting their team. The programme is free to join for both club and fan, as the programme points (and therefore the ultimate rewards with the Saracens) are funded by the retail partners who participate on the Rewards4 platform.
Rewards4Rugby is an online rewards platform that rugby fans can join via their club and collect Rewards4Rugby points from their everyday spending with more than 4,300 online retailers and in-store with over 30 high street brands. As the first rugby club to have signed up, Saracens’ season ticket holders will also receive Rewards4Rugby points on purchases of ‘early bird’ season tickets, tickets for matches staged at Allianz Park and Wembley as well on purchases of Saracens’ club shirts and other merchandise.
The Rewards4 programme integrates directly with Saracens’ ticketing system, provided by SecuTix, to ensure that points are seamlessly added to each fan’s account, once they have signed up as a member. Saracens’ fans can easily redeem their Rewards4Rugby points to pay in full or in part for their match day tickets, memberships and Saracens’ merchandise - both online and in the Saracens Super Store.
The move into rugby follows the tried and tested success of the Rewards4Racing programme, where the partnership with The Jockey Club has secured more than one million members. In 2016, the programme helped racegoers save money on over £6.15 million worth of ticket sales with the programme’s racecourse partners. The Rewards4Racing programme was recently shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Fan Engagement programme category for the Sports Business Awards 2017, with the winner due to be announced in June.
